Chapter 15: SUMMARY
At the very start of this book I stated that I would show you a
process that, if you followed it diligently, was guaranteed to progressively build
both your income and traffic by using traffic exchanges as your main form
of lead generation. So far I have shown you the various elements within that
process and hopefully you will have already begun to use them.
But that was sixteen chapters, a couple of thousand words and several
instructional videos ago. So what I would like to do here is summarize the
various elements for you and show you how they all fit togetherBut before I
do I'd like to tell you
THE SECRET THAT PROGRAM
OWNERS WON'T TELL YOU...
Internet Marketing is not difficult when you
have a workable plan and stick to it. However, where people are consistently led
astray is the continued pedaling of the magic bullet, the program that cannot
fail, or the forced matrix that guarantees spillover, and they are tricked into
putting all their effort into promoting one earth shattering program that in all
likelihood will be gathering cyber dust in the bowels of the Internet within
three months
Like you, every day I see dozens of these programs
advertised by hopeful affiliates doomed to failure and more than likely (unless
you're smarter than me), just like you I've been tricked into promoting
some of these glittering hype fueled pieces of electric fluff
Each of these
programs may actually be worthy to promote, but in essence they should be
promoted by the affiliate at the back end of the sales process, not up front on
a traffic exchange, safelist or God forbid, Google Adwords. But program
owners will always supply you with splash pages, banners, suggested
safelist ads and in many cases lists of keywords to
bid on at Google.
I used to call it a sham, but now I understand why program owners do it - affiliates almost demand it,-they want an easy solution and don't want to do the hard yards. And that mindset contributes to the affiliates' failure.
I'll tell you why. Let's just think about it
for a second. The program owner has gone to the time and trouble of
creating the program and deserves a cut in any sales you make. I
don't have a problem with that.
But let's think about affiliate marketing in any shape or form, be it
straight affiliate marketing, or MLM or whatever. The affiliate will get
paid a commission for sales, but has to expend his/her time and money on
promoting the product. All the risk and cost of promoting the program is
taken on by the affiliate.
So the new (or the lazy) affiliate marketer is given some tools to assist in their
promotional efforts. Often they are encouraged to use Traffic Exchanges or
Adwords to promote their affiliate link.
In the hope of earning commissions they take on all the risk.
Think about it- you find a product worth promoting that pays let's say $45
per sale. You spend hours creating campaigns, and maybe hundreds of
dollars on advertising branding a product for the program owner.
Yes you earn the odd commission, if you're lucky, but all the while that
direct promotion is branding the product -it's doing nothing for you.
Here is the right way to go about promoting any product on line.
- Build a subscriber base by providing valuable worthwhile information specific to a recognized need within the industry.
- Recommend products to those subscribers via email and social networks.
Do you get this? This is Internet marketing. You market nothing
else on line but you and your credibility. Forget the hype, forget the
pressing need to join the next "hot product" Concentrate on the basics and you
will succeed.
I can think of no better marketplace than Traffic Exchanges to implement
those basic marketing propositions.
So to recap. To succeed with Traffic Exchange Marketing
HERE’S HOW YOU BUILD YOUR BRAND AND YOUR LIST...
There's no secret it's all about credibility.
And credibility starts by building your profile via your own blog on your own domain name. You build a list of contacts using Traffic Exchanges and Safelists. Your contact list will include social media contacts and a list of
subscribers, preferably using the great services offered by
Traffic Wave
To build your subscriber list you need to be tempting subscribers with a valuable worthwhile gift that will
help them in their marketing efforts (This book, the free report offered by Scott Douglas begin_of_the_skype_highlighting end_of_the_skype_highlighting at Traffic Exchange Profits, the Social Surfing Secrets manual or ideally, a combination of all three for example)
You should be looking to profit ethically from your contact list, ideally by recommending quality programs and services covered in this book
like Traffic Exchange Profits , Affiliate Funnel, Traffic Wave and Te Toolbox to name a few.
You should be looking to utilize all of the advertising methods
available to you in Traffic Exchanges to build and promote your brand. Text ads, Banners ads, surfing, emailing -
the works. If things don't work, you need to critically analyze where
the process is breaking down - is it at interest creation, (splash page) lead
generation, (squeeze page) follow up, (email), and you need to
tweak the process accordingly
I know this doesn't sound easy - it isn't. If it was we all would be rich and there wold be no need for this book. You can make the process much easier by becoming a Break Free Traffic System member. When you do so you get access to web hosting facilities, blog training, an email subject line report and some member's only Hot Tips pages taht you can use to email your list. You also get access to a pre-written follow up email series via Traffic Wave that you can copy and tweak to send to your new subscribers. If you do so you and apply the principles contained within the eBook ,within a very short time, you'll begin to notice a surge
in subscribers to your mailing list and your downlines in multiple programs will
grow quickly and easily. Then its only a matter of time before, you'll start receiving
commissions from multiple sources.
PLAN YOUR WORK AND WORK YOUR PLAN -
THEN GIVE IT CHANCE TO WORK FOR YOU.
Happiness is a growing responsive mailing list!
