One of the first rules of using Traffic Exchanges is to recognize the potential of referring other users to the Traffic Exchanges that you use.

As they use the Traffic Exchanges themselves they earn traffic for you, it's a great concept but one which is prone to cause confusion.

Some of the traffic downline builder sites will encourage you to do nothing other than build traffic (using their downline builder of course) and this causes confusion because initially people attracted to advertising on a Traffic Exchange already have some sort of product or service that they want to advertise. Then they make a critical mistake - they split their advertising efforts in two and try to rotate their product and their traffic downline builder in the hope that they will grow their traffic quickly and exponentially.

It doesn't work like that.

Here is a golden rule.

Don't advertise a traffic downline builder on a Traffic Exchange

Why?

Because every hit that you generate, earn or buy should be directed to branding yourself and creating interest in what you have to offer.

Advertising a downline builder is just branding the downline builder-not you.

But viral traffic is incredibly important and that's why you simply must have one and be able to recommend it to your subscribers.

At the end of this book I give you a list of tools that you should be using. Included in the list are some viral traffic builders

You simply have to join one. Here is why

One of the great things about Traffic Exchanges is that they have a great capacity to generate viral traffic over time. You refer somebody to Traffic Splash for example and when they become active they will earn you 5% credits for every page they surf - not a great deal, but when you consider that the average surf at a traffic exchange is over 100 pages they will earn you 5 Traffic Credits per day.
Refer just one person a week and pretty soon you will be earning hundreds of free credits without doing a thing.

Of course, spending your time promoting one Traffic Exchange can be a very tough gig, unless of course you are the program owner - then you have reason to be doing it, but promoting multiple Traffic Exchanges at once can be a very good way of rapidly building Traffic & Income.

Traffic Exchanges will pay you quite nice commissions for membership upgrades and on most occasions credit purchases. 

Again, using Traffic Splash as an example, you get 50% commissions on gold upgrade memberships if you are upgraded yourself and 10% if you’re a free member.

Typically you can expect about one free member in ten to upgrade so there is plenty of potential to make good income promoting a Traffic Exchange like Traffic Splash. 

The trouble (and the opportunity) is that there are hundreds of Traffic Exchanges all competing for a piece of the action and for anybody to be across them all is just impossible.

Part of the solution to the problem is to utilize a Traffic downline builder. Traffic downline builders are membership sites enabling you to promote multiple Traffic sites at once and there are dozens of these about.

The best of these, without doubt is . Affiliate Funnel I didn't always have this opinion but affiliate funnel embraces and promotes the important principle of promoting yourself first.

Perhaps the greatest asset that Affiliate Funnel has is as its name implies, its sales funnel - providing links to a fantastic range of quality resources and products. For this reason alone, it is well worth joining and serious consideration should be given to the Pro upgrade offer.

As a downline builder Affiliate Funnel is an excellent vehicle to build Traffic and make referrals to other quality resources -it's a must join. AND it has its members interest's at heart. There are regular Affiliate funnel conferences held most weeks and it has to be said that these conferences alone are worth the membership.

Affiliate Funnel is not the only downline builder on the block.

Traffic Hoopla claims to be the foremost ranking authority on Traffic Exchanges and is the preferred recommended downline builder that Traffic Exchange Profits recommend. Traffic Hoopla claims to independently rank Traffic Exchange performance. However, there are some suggestions of anomalies with Traffic Hoopla's ranking system, but the fact remains that Hoopla's rankings for the most part, bear out my own tracking results. Regardless of whether you believe Hoopla's rankings or not, as a downline builder it has served me very well over a number of years.

I have found Tim Linden's Traffic Exchange List to fit the bill as a downline builder and a ranking provider.  I like Tim, find him honest and sincere and he is at the cutting edge of the Traffic Exchange business.  I therefore whole-heartedly recommend his services.
I sincerely recommend that you join all three programs to get an overall perspective of what is happening within the Traffic Exchange Industry and then progressively join each Traffic Exchange listed. 

I don't for a moment suggest that you surf them all  - only a short list of ten, but these will change as your preferences and the surfing community's preferences change.

If you won't complete this step, you are wasting your time, because a quality viral traffic engine can generate hundreds even thousands of free hits per day

An hour spent setting it up now will save earn you thousands of free hits.

I should mention that to effectively surf, you need a multi tabbed browser that enables you to surf multiple traffic exchange sites simultaneously. I have found that Mozilla Firefox enables me to surf anywhere up to 6 sites effectively, without slowing my surfing speed. Anymore and the effectiveness slows; either 5 or 6 is a good number. TRAFFIC BARS

An additional benefit of using Mozilla Firefox is that you can have free traffic bars running simultaneously in each tab – earning you more traffic.  Free Traffic Bars are free to install toolbars that display advertising in each browser window that you open. The premier Traffic Baris Free Traffic Bar (now that’s an original name). I have Free Traffic Bar loaded on my Firefox browser.  As I scroll across my 6 traffic exchanges I am effectively earning extra credits, Free Traffic Bar isloading fresh ads in each tab.  

 When I’ve scrolled across my 6 tabs ten times, I’ve effectively earned 120 free advertising credits in a little under five minutes.  If I spend an hour surfing that equates to over 1200 advertising credits in an hour.  Traffic exchanges offer different advertising to surfing ratios. Some offer 1 for 1; most offer either 1 for 2; some less; but even if we apply a working ratio of 1 for 3, one hour’s surfing per day will earn me at least 400 free advertisements.

I haven't even mentioned the viral nature of Free Traffic Bar. It rewards you for your referrals' activities and they will be earning you traffic on every browser page you open.
